To Whom It May Concern:

As the Construction Manager, we are nearing the completion of a 179,000 SF Critical Care Building and a 33,000 SF Addition/Renovations to the Henry Cancer Center at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. The CCB accommodates a Surgery Department, an Emergency Department , an ICU and a Heliport. Due to the complexity of the project, and the need to fast-track the start of construction, we decided early in the design phase to negotiate the electrical subcontract with Apollo Group, Inc.

Apollo brought to the table extensive knowledge of hospital construction, this specific Geisinger facility, and the local labor market. Interaction and communication with the design engineers was professional and effective. During the pre-construction phase, numerous and invaluable budget estimates were provided and significant value-engineering savings were generated. The costs of the electrical work during construction were well managed and accurately reported. Apollo’s final project cost is 2% under the construction and within 1% of their original schematic estimate.

Quality of workmanship, coordinating with the other trades and fast-tracking the schedule was outstanding. Apollo’s foreman, Hugh Boyle, is one of the best we have ever had on out projects and he was honored as Alvin H. Butz, Inc.’s 2007 Outstanding Field Foreman.

Roy Answini and his company not only matched the “project team oriented outlook” philosophy we were looking for, but exceeded expectations and played a key role in the successful completion of the Geisinger projects.

We highly recommend Apollo Group, Inc. as an Electrical Subcontractor.
